3. Stop in Fes on the way
Breaking the journey in Fes turns a tiring transfer into a useful Morocco itinerary. Take the direct train from Marrakech to Fes, spend one or two nights in the medina, then continue by CTM bus to Chefchaouen. The first leg is roughly 6.5–7 hours and the Fes–Chefchaouen bus is about four hours.
Do not build a tight same-day connection in Fes. The combined moving time is already around 10.5–11 hours, and the train and bus stations are separate. The stop works because Fes deserves time, not because it is the fastest transfer.
